If the product is one of the machines defined in 23 categories as risky in the Machinery Directive and does not comply with the EC Harmonized Standard covering all basic health and safety requirements, the notified body must carry out conformity assessment activity. If the Notified Body is convinced of the suitability of the product, it confirms the eligibility by publishing the document, which we call the CE Certificate, which has the EC Type-examination Certificate or the Certificate of Full Quality Assurance.
Regardless of the role of the notified body, the producer must issue an EC Declaration of Conformity and a technical file and conduct a conformity assessment activity, which is legally binding.
AIM OF THE MACHINE CE CERTIFICATE
It is a law developed to show that when machines are installed in accordance with the instructions for use, they do not adversely affect human and environmental health. Accordingly, before the machine manufacturers launch a product;
- Prepare the technical file related to the product,
- Prepare the instructions for use related to the machine,
- Complete the tests and analyzes required for conformity assessment,
- Prepare the EC Declaration of Conformity in accordance with the product,
- After all the steps are completed, the machine must attach the CE mark.
