Workplace Medicine and Nurse Employment

We work with the occupational physician and nurse staff consisting of specialist physicians in the workplace together with the occupational safety specialist within the scope of health surveillance in your workplace, we contribute to ensuring a healthy work environment by carrying out workplace and employee health practices and periodic follow-up in accordance with current and professional methods.

6331 numbered Occupational Health and Safety Law According to articles 6, 7 and 8, employers are obliged to provide occupational health and safety services.

Occupational health and safety services within the scope of the following work must be fulfilled in accordance with the following criteria: Occupational physicians and other health personnel published in the Official Gazette dated 20.07.2013 and numbered 28713 leri Regulation on Duties, Authorities, Responsibilities and Training has determined the principles. The occupational physician is obliged to perform the following tasks within the scope of occupational health and safety services.

Guiding;

    • To provide guidance to the employer regarding the health surveillance of the employees and supervision of the working environment within the scope of occupational health and safety services.
    • To make suggestions to the employer in order to ensure the continuity of the workplace in relation to the work done and changes to be made, the planning, organization and implementation of the work including the items used, the selection of personal protective equipment in accordance with the occupational health and safety legislation and general occupational health rules.

    • To advise the employer about the necessary activities to improve the health of the employees in the workplace.
    • To take part in researches in the field of occupational health and safety, and also to conduct work to ensure the compliance of the worker and the protection from stress factors in the work environment by taking into account the physical and mental capacities of the employees in terms of ergonomic and psychosocial risks in the conduct of the work and to take these research results into consideration in the guidance activities.

    • To continuously monitor and monitor the general hygiene conditions of the premises and additions to the premises, and to advise the employees about the nutritional requirements required for the work carried out and to ensure the appropriate drinking water.

    • To make necessary checks on the maintenance and cleaning of canteen, dining hall, dormitory, nursery and nursing rooms, changing rooms, shower and toilets.
    • To make suggestions to the employer by making studies on the precautions to be taken in order to investigate the causes of occupational accidents and occupational diseases occurring in the workplace.

    • Carrying out studies on the causes of events that have the potential to cause harm to the employee, equipment or workplace, but not to death or injury.

    • To inform the employer in writing of the measures to be taken regarding occupational health and safety.

Risk assessment;

    • To participate in the study and implementation of risk assessment in terms of occupational health and safety;

    • Pregnant or nursing women, mothers under 18 years of age, mothers with children under two years of age, those with a diagnosis or pre-diagnosis of occupational disease, those with chronic diseases, the elderly, the disabled and the disabled, alcohol, drug and drug addiction groups requiring policy; close monitoring and protection, informing and taking special consideration in the risk assessment.

Health surveillance;

    • Informing employees about their work and periodic examinations and inspections within the scope of health surveillance and getting their consent.
    • Health surveillance of employees, including night mailers.
    • In line with international standards and the results of the risk assessment conducted at the workplace, taking into account the personal characteristics of the employee, the danger class of the workplace and the nature of the work,

    • a) At least every five years in the workplaces of less dangerous class,
    • b) In dangerous class workplaces at least every three years,
    • c) Periodic examination is repeated at least once a year in very dangerous workplaces. However, these times are shortened if the workplace physician deems it necessary.
    • Groups requiring special policy, having a diagnosis or pre-diagnosis of occupational disease, having chronic illness, substance addiction, having a work accident have been carried out for the employees to be placed in the appropriate workplace by performing the necessary preventive health examinations; and repeat the preventive health examinations of other employees in the working environment.

    • To determine whether there is a relationship between the health hazards that may be present in the workplace due to health problems, to make the measurements related to the work environment when it is necessary to make it to the employer’s approval and to evaluate the results for the health of the employees.

    • If the employees are asked to return to work after they have withdrawn from work due to repeated work due to their return to work, to present to the employer the recommendation of giving a duty appropriate to their current health conditions to those who are incapable of working in their former position.

    • In addition to spreading and immunization studies for the control of infectious diseases, necessary hygiene trainings and necessary inspections and examinations are provided.
    • To record the work on health surveillance in the workplace, to cooperate with the occupational safety expert to make an assessment of occupational accidents and diseases, to prepare the necessary preventive action plans by conducting research and investigation in order not to repeat the dangerous event, and to prepare the annual work plan including these issues and present it to the employer’s approval. and follow-up of the applications, preparing the annual evaluation report.

Training, information and registration;

    • To work on the planning of the occupational health and safety trainings of the employees in accordance with the relevant legislation and to present them to the employer’s approval and to implement or control them.

    • To carry out the work of first aid and emergency response services in the workplace and to provide training of personnel in accordance with the relevant legislation.
    • Providing training to the managers on the issues of general health, occupational health and safety, hygiene, harms of the use of addictive substances, personal protective equipment and collective protection methods, and to ensure continuity.

    • To inform the employees about the risks in the workplace, health surveillance, work entry and periodic examinations.
    • To prepare the annual evaluation report in which occupational health and safety studies and health surveillance results are recorded in accordance with the example in the regulation in cooperation with the occupational safety specialist.

Cooperation with relevant units;

    • According to the results of the health surveillance, in cooperation with the occupational safety specialist, suggesting the necessary measurements to be carried out within the scope of the supervision of the work environment, and evaluating the measurement results.

    • To work in cooperation with the occupational health and safety committee to which it is a member.
    • To cooperate with relevant parties to provide information and training on occupational health and safety at work.
    • Participate in the development of programs to improve existing practices such as analysis of occupational accidents and occupational diseases, programs for the improvement of work practices and evaluation and testing of new technologies and equipment in terms of health.

    • To work in cooperation with the hospitals authorized to regulate the health committee reports on occupational diseases, to cooperate with the relevant units in the rehabilitation of the workers who have suffered an occupational disease or who are caught by the occupational disease according to the Labor Force and Power Loss Rate Regulation Regulation.

    • To participate in research in the field of occupational health and safety.
    • To contribute to occupational safety and health instructions and occupational safety procedures in order to prepare working permit procedures.

    • To prepare the annual work plan, which includes occupational health and safety activities in the following year, with the occupational safety specialist.

    • To support and cooperate with the work representative and support staff in the workplace.

The working hours of the physicians are given below.

At least 25 minutes per employee per year in workplaces with less than 10 employees and in a less hazardous class.

Other establishments;

  • Less than 4 minutes per employee per month in the less hazardous class.
  • At least 6 minutes per employee per employee in hazardous classes.
  • At least 8 minutes per employee per month in very dangerous classrooms.

Workplaces with less than 2,000 employees and more than 2000 employees in the less dangerous class are assigned at least one occupational physician to work full time for each 2000 employees. In case the number of employees is more than the total number of 2000, the number of employees is taken into consideration in addition to the occupational physician in accordance with the criteria specified in the first paragraph.

Workplaces with 1500 or more employees in a hazardous class are assigned at least one occupational physician who will work full time for every 1500 employees. In case that the number of employees is more than the full number of 1500, the number of employees shall be assigned in addition to sufficient occupational medicine in accordance with the criteria specified in the first paragraph.

At least one occupational physician is assigned to work for 1000 employees in workplaces with 1000 or more employees in a very dangerous classroom. In case the number of employees is more than the full number of 1000, the number of employees shall be assigned to the occupational physician specialist in accordance with the criteria specified in the first paragraph.
