First Aid is a drug-free application made with existing tools and equipment, without seeking medical equipment, at the scene of the accident or in a life-endangering situation, until the medical assistance of medical staff is provided, to save lives or to worsen the situation.

Basic First Aid Training, pursuant to Article 16 of the First Aid Regulation;

Up to every 10 employees in very dangerous workplaces 1

Up to every 15 employees in dangerous workplaces 1

In the less dangerous workplaces, “First Aid Training” certificate, which has 1 “Basic First Aid Training” certificate, is required for every 20 employees.

Purpose of Basic First Aid Training

It is to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to make a quick, effective and most appropriate intervention to the patient / injured, by avoiding aimless solutions and wrong interventions, until professional teams arrive in case of an emergency.

The Importance of Basic First Aid Training

it is inevitable that we encounter injuries or diseases for various reasons as long as we are overcome. We carry the risk of accident and sickness in various times of our lives in every environment we are in. When we encounter such situations, the first aid training of the respondents will play a decisive role in maintaining life, preventing injuries and shortening the healing process.

Many citizens in our country lose their lives or become disabled due to home, work or traffic accidents and natural disasters. In such cases, first aid practices that are affected by people who are affected by the incident or who are in the environment are extremely important, since there cannot always be a healthcare professional at the scene. As a general understanding in our society, the terms first aid and emergency aid are used interchangeably.

However, although emergency aid includes medical interventions performed by healthcare professionals with the necessary equipment; First Aid is applications made by people who are trained in this field, without medication, at the scene. However, people who have not received first aid training may have objectionable results if they are in first aid practices.

For this reason, it is very important that the people who are going to apply first aid must have received first aid training, know that their primary purpose is not to harm people and do not engage in life-threatening interventions. . Within the framework of this regulation, it is aimed to contribute to increase the number and qualifications of certified first aiders who have received first aid training and to raise awareness of our society about first aid.
