Occupational health and Safety; is the science that deals with the elimination or reduction of the health problems and occupational risks that workers are exposed to due to the physical environmental conditions at the workplace during the work.

Occupational health and safety is defined as the discipline that examines the factors and conditions that affect the health and safety of all people (employees, temporary workers, subcontractor employees, visitors, customers and any person in the workplace) affected by an organization’s activities. In general terms, it is a set of measures based on both protecting employees (Occupational Safety) and the safety of the whole enterprise and production, that is, the protection of those around and the environment.

In order to ensure the health and safety of the workers at the workplace, in other words, to take necessary precautions against all kinds of risks that may arise in the workplace, such as occupational accidents and occupational diseases, to fulfill the conditions on this matter, and to keep the tools and equipment in full. is a concept in which the employer is generally held responsible for their implementation and / but workers also want to comply with the procedures and conditions in relation to the prescribed measures.

Legal Basis: The Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 regulates the authority and responsibilities and rights and duties for employers and employees to ensure occupational safety and occupational health and improve the existing conditions. Occupational Health and Safety Law applies to anyone working with a title and form. A situation such as public and private sector separation does not apply to Law No. 6331. The duties of all workers and employers in the workplace related to occupational health and safety are specified in this law.
