Energy Efficiency

What is Energy Efficiency, Why is it important?

Energy efficiency; It is a combination of measures to improve energy efficiency such as energy, gas, steam, heat, air and electricity, to recycle and evaluate various wastes or to reduce energy demand without reducing production by advanced technology, more efficient energy resources, advanced industrial processes, energy recovery. Generally, energy consumption, which is perceived as the use of less energy, being extinguished by one of the two bulbs, is actually to minimize the amount of energy consumed by the evaluation of energy wastes and the prevention of existing energy losses without reducing the quality and performance.

As is known, fossil fuels such as oil and coal, the most important energy source, are rapidly depleted. In addition, greenhouse gas emissions in energy production and consumption processes are among the most important causes of global warming and climate change. These two factors require energy efficiency for the environment.

Increasing energy efficiency will also contribute to reducing the external dependence of energy resources, which is a heavy burden on the economy. The increase in energy demand will lead to problems in the long-term access of reliable and affordable oil and natural gas. Reducing energy consumption by increasing energy efficiency will help reduce this risk.

The main purpose of conducting an energy efficiency study in a business is generally economic. Increasing energy efficiency leads to a reduction in costs in a business, resulting in more efficient and more competitive processes. However, the only reason for increasing energy efficiency in SMEs is not only the reduction of the energy bills. The use of more modern process equipment, which allows better control of the process, ensures efficient use of energy as well as improving product quality and maintaining quality. On the other hand, using less energy to achieve the same results will reduce the dependence on imported energy and contribute to the control of the energy price. Less energy use will result in less emissions to the environment, which will increase local air quality, and reduced CO2 emissions and water vapor will reduce the global impact of climate change.

In all sectors of the industry, increasing energy efficiency in line with energy efficiency awareness should be initiated without delay in order to increase energy efficiency by taking into consideration the benefits such as increasing our competitiveness and contributing to reducing the external dependence on energy resources which are a heavy burden on the economy and contributing to the reduction of environmental damages.
