What is Lifting Transmission Equipment?

Lifting and Conveying Equipment are machines and equipment that are constantly used in workplaces for lifting and transporting loads, personnel and materials, and which are structurally dangerous in terms of operating conditions.

These equipments are the business tools that can pose a danger to be kept under constant control and surveillance, as they are kept close to the employees and used within the enterprise. As a result of misuse of lifting and transmitting vehicles in our country, many sad accident cases occur.

Periodic control obligation of Lifting and Transmission equipment; Annex-III of the Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment 2. 2.2 under the Work Equipment subject to Periodic Control. (Lifting and Conveying Equipment) and its sub-clauses.

Under the control of Lifting and Transmission equipment; Unless otherwise specified in the standards, lifting and transmitting equipment is made with a load of at least 1.25 times the declared load. Along with this load test, the relevant regulation clauses have the power to effectively and safely lift and suspend these equipment and require them to have sufficient load brakes that are resistant to this load.

Periodic control intervals and criteria of Lifting and Conveying Machines are carried out in the intervals and criteria specified by the manufacturer, if any, of the work equipment, whose standards are not determined. If these issues are not determined by the manufacturer, periodic control of work equipment, workplace ambient conditions, frequency of use and duration of use are taken into consideration, according to the results of the risk assessment to be performed by occupational safety professionals. The specified periodic control interval should not exceed one year, with exceptions specified in this Regulation.
